# Date Reviewed Province City Restaurant Score
1    Thu Feb 19 10:22:49 2004 Ontario Toronto Tortilla Flats 7.60
Real good tex mex, in a dated dingy hole. My rating is low for cleanliness and service not the food
2    Thu Feb 19 09:23:17 2004 Ontario Newmarket East Side Mario's 5.60
This franchise has had several owners and more management changes. Ingredients have changed in some dishes over time, portions shrunk. It's been dirty at times, I've found produce a label still stuck on a pepper in my pasta. I've complained and recieved vouchers but on return vistits still had meals cooked badly. It's a shame, it was a good, well valued meal with great salada, but with it's consistency problems I now pay a few bucks more for better experience down the road at Villa Risi.
3    Thu Feb 19 09:09:11 2004 Quebec Montreal Milos Restaurant 9.60
We spent a week in Montreal last summer, this was definately the best meal we had. You get to pick your own fish, great service, nice decor. Of course being a high end fish establishment it's not for those on a tight budget.
4    Tue Feb 17 08:35:00 2004 Ontario Newmarket Hound & Heather 3.60
Not currenly called the hound any more the previous incarnation was a hole, dirty, slow burnt burgers, yada, yada, yada. The capper was when a young Scotish man who having seen the deceptive signs outside came in and asked for a Real Ale(ie Cask Conditioned) which of course was not actually in the beer selection. The Bar maid said "What, you mean Blue"
5    Mon Feb 16 13:07:52 2004 Ontario Toronto Fionn Mac Cool's Irish Pub 7.00
Good pub food, but quality has lessened over the last couple of years. Would have scored 2 points higher 5 years ago. Could use a bigger beer variety. Washrooms not wheel chair friendly. Far too loud for a chat on band nights.
6    Mon Feb 16 12:01:26 2004 Ontario Newmarket Villa Risi 9.80
The best Italian food in Newmarket, pasta, veal, seafood all done well. We even used them for our small wedding reception at 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of most local high end banquet halls. A year later people still remark on how good the food was. How often do you hear that about a wedding? Only marginaly wheel chair accessable, bathroom stall and stall doors to tight for sports chair.
7    Mon Feb 16 11:26:44 2004 Ontario Newmarket Spiga Ristorante 8.40
Good food, I'd go much more often if they could keep the musicians away from my table. Just leave me alone to eat and enjoy my meal.
8    Mon Feb 16 11:24:41 2004 Ontario Newmarket Keg Steakhouse & Bar 8.20
A keg is generaly a Keg , consistent good food without going to the high end booze and beef establishments. With the death of house of York and Longhorn, one of the few meat specialty places left in newmarket. Biggest drawback is its new location in the theatre parking lot. Why does every business want to be in the same stretch of road making the town travel unfriendly?
9    Mon Feb 16 11:15:49 2004 Ontario Toronto Duke Of Westminster 6.40
Good pub fare, great bear selection, bar section too smokey, Craig the bar tender is far too familiar and surly with patrons.
10    Mon Feb 16 10:59:47 2004 Ontario Newmarket Crow's Nest 7.80
A fine restaurant, slightly better selection than average pub fare but lost a point on my scale when it dropped lamb from the menu. Great beer selection. Professional severs who remember orders. Parking and early closing only drawbacks, it's not the place for an all nighter.
11    Mon Feb 16 10:49:46 2004 Ontario Kleinburg Doctor's House 2.20
Never have I had such poor service in a restaurant in this price range. They made our Valentines dinner a nightmare, every order was wrong, slow service, waiters who don't know the menu or table numbers abd manager(s) who would not come out on the floor and deal with the many mad patrons in our section. 150 dollars better spend on m&m meats to make your own dinner with.
