Firstly to tout yourself as a Steakhouse, one would agree that your best item on the menu would be your steak. No? My first visit with my fiancé to Peppercorns left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. The service from the waiter was impeccable, the ambiance very beautiful, but the total service was to be desired and I will explain why. Firstly it all started off well. Our appetizers and (oops)tails went well, but when the main course came, I ordered a 22 oz cowboy steak medium. When my steak arrived, it looked fine on the outside but when I began to carve into it I realized that there was a thin but very noticeable layer of raw meat approximately ¼ of an inch, NOT RARE OR MEDIUM RARE, but purple raw meat, at which time my steak began to bleed red blood onto the plate as if I had a nosebleed. I of course returned the steak for it was no where near the "medium" of which I ordered. To say the least, I have a very strong stomach but it turned my fiancé’s and when the steak came back the restaurant manager came with it. She asked me to see if the problem was corrected, did not apologize or offer us anything and then left. We continued our night determined not to allow that blatant and obvious disrespect towards us to ruin our evening. She must have been really busy with the rest of the restaurant patrons. I guess we were not important enough because her demeanor clearly indicated she had something more important to do and rushed off. We ordered desert and coffees, our bill come out to $140.00 for two without tip(!!!!), and realized nothing had been complimented on our bill. Not even desert. If this were any other restaurant, the entire meal would have been complimented. Peppercorn’s is trying to run with the big boy "high end steak houses", but obviously this restaurant falls way short. It can't even get its steak right. It obviously lacks the class from its administration in how it should treat its customers. It will never see my business again nor get any recommendations from me to my friends and business associates.
