# Date Reviewed Province City Restaurant Score
1    Mon Oct 31 10:59:00 2005 Ontario Oakville Swiss Chalet 6.20
Slooooooow take out, but the food is decent here. Should be some additional seating in the waiting area, since you have to wait so long for your order. Have never eaten "IN" this place, so can't critique that aspect, but the takeout is frustrating to say the least.
2    Mon Oct 31 10:57:18 2005 Ontario Oakville Subway Sandwiches & Salads 5.80
Definitely not one of the better Subways - WATCH them make your sandwich(es)! They tend to skimp on the fillings, so be aware and call them on it when you see it happening. A meatball sub should actually have meatballs in it, and you shouldn't have to take several bites off the end before you encounter one. Make sure you have what you paid for before you step foot out the door. Customer service (especially the younger staff) is not their forte.
3    Mon Oct 31 10:53:51 2005 Ontario Oakville Philthy Mc Nasty's Sports Tap 5.60
Well... what can I say... Filthy and Nasty? Pretty much. Not a classy place, the clientele definitely fits the theme... food was ok, but the ambience was a turn off, and we won't be going back.
4    Mon Oct 31 10:52:09 2005 Ontario Oakville Outback Steakhouse 7.80
Because they bring in Alberta Beef, this is the only place I'm confident I'll get a good steak, and I am rarely disappointed. Their customer service is generally good, but they don't go out of their way to fix any problems that arise. The last time we went, we felt "watched" because several of the staff just stood at the end of the aisle and watched us. Less attentive than creepy to be honest. The menu could be a bit broader too, but then again, you really only go there for one specific type of food, and no variety. The Bloomin Onion is an artery clogging delicacy - very yummy. I find the Outback a bit expensive, but overall not a bad place to go.
5    Wed Oct 19 23:35:08 2005 Ontario Georgetown Mc Donald's Restaurants 4.80
McDonalds is McDonalds. However, I believe this is a franchise and not a corporate location, so their prices are a bit higher. (assuming this is the one on the corner of Mountainview and Guelph, and not the one in the mall). The drivethru staff have a very weird and not acceptable habit of pressing the "OK" button on the interac machine for you. They are also often abrupt/rude, and I don't think they keep their staff very long, as I don't believe I've seen the same person twice. Still, McDonalds is McDonalds.
6    Wed Oct 19 23:31:22 2005 Ontario Georgetown Charley Fitzwhiskey's Tap 5.00
This place is gone, as of (I believe) Summer 2005.
7    Wed Oct 19 23:20:02 2005 Ontario Mississauga Denny's 5.40
Slightly lower than average class of service: Imagine waiting 10 minutes to be seated in a pretty much empty place, your busboy with the crotch of his pants down around his knees, mindlessly chawing his gum like a cow, and your waitress clearly annoyed at being interrupted by an actual customer, demanding to know what you'd like. Food isn't all that bad if you can get past your disgust with the service personnel.
8    Wed Oct 19 23:15:39 2005 Ontario Mississauga Coopers 5.60
Have not tried anything except the Nachos, which are excellent. Good location, generally only one person working during the day, which makes for sloooooooow service. Generally the clientele is either "the regulars", including the older drunken gentleman who is avoiding his wife, or people like us who just want to pop in for a nosh and a pint. We would go back simply for the nachos, but don't go if time is an issue. Good prices if you're using the Entertainment book coupon... otherwise fairly pricey.
9    Wed Oct 19 23:06:40 2005 Ontario Mississauga Appleby's Restaurant & Lounge 3.80
Not a nice restaurant, in a less nice location. More of a lower class diner than anything really. Food was mediocre at best.
10    Wed Oct 19 23:04:49 2005 Ontario Mississauga Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar 8.00
Good food - usually good service, but not always. Booths are at an odd height, and not terribly comfortable. Aisles are a bit narrow and highchairs are a hazard because of it. Imagine hot food being moved back and forth over baby's head, and feet triping over the highchair legs. A bit inconsistent in service, but they try.
11    Wed Oct 19 22:54:24 2005 Ontario Milton Pizza Hut 3.00
Without a doubt the worst Pizza Hut ever. Rude staff, poor service, filthy tables/booths. Our last experience had us standing at the podium waiting to be noticed for almost 15 minutes, while staff, including a manager, walked right past us without even acknowledging our presence. We left. Our next to last experience resulted in sitting in a booth on a wad of gum, and ruining a brand new set of Dockers, which was not acknowledged or addressed by the management in any way. Food was standard, although salad was wilted and looked several-hours-sitting-there old. We will never set foot in this restaurant again.
12    Wed Oct 19 22:49:45 2005 Ontario Milton Mc Donald's 7.00
McDonalds is McDonalds is McDonalds. Food quality is standard McDonalds fair. Generally hot, never a real problem with this location. Morning crew is older and therefore better and faster.
13    Wed Oct 19 22:47:57 2005 Ontario Milton Golden Fish & Chips 8.20
Definitely a better experience if you choose take-out. These folks have the best fish and chips in Milton. The prices are a little high, but the quality is there, and the people behind the counter are extremely nice. The eat-in atmosphere is lacking any semblence of class, but it does not take away from the food. Good to note that they are closed Sunday and Monday.
14    Wed Oct 19 22:45:20 2005 Ontario Milton Fifth Wheel Truck Stop 6.40
Our experience as a family was a bit lacking, but I understand from friends that it is their favorite place for breakfast. The service wasn't classy by any means, and our food was nothing special. We will give it another try, but so far we are not overly impressed.
15    Wed Oct 19 22:43:07 2005 Ontario Milton Charley Fitzwhiskey's Tap 7.00
Not bad overall - iffy for families, more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant really. Excellent French Onion Soup, fabulous nachos. No bad experiences, but decor and ambience leave something to be desired.
16    Wed Oct 19 22:40:56 2005 Ontario Milton A Vito's 241 Pizza & Chicken 8.60
Great pizza! The best we have found in the area. Always delivered hot. Not crazy about the way they include the cold veggies with the hot food though. Otherwise a fabulous pizza joint.
17    Wed Oct 19 17:28:27 2005 Ontario Milton Kelsey's 9.60
This is the best Kelsey's we have ever been to. The food is always exactly as ordered, and if there is ever a problem it is taken care of immediately. We have never had a bad experience here, and we have been many many times. In fact, it is one of our favourite restaurants and we visit usually once a week. We will even continue to do so even though our favourite waiter has moved on to other opportunities. Fantastic management, very well trained staff, and very good food. A great combo. Highly recommended!
18    Wed Oct 19 17:24:39 2005 Ontario Milton Swiss Chalet Chicken & Ribs 2.60
This is without a doubt the worst Swiss Chalet I have ever been to. To be fair, we tried it twice, with last night (October 18, 2005) being the second and last. The food I ordered (a messy chicken sandwich and mashed potatoes) was cold, right down to the wiggling congealed gravy. The chicken was pinkish (uncooked) and along with being cold, had strings of fat hanging from it. The vegetables consisted of 90% overcooked celery (who wants celery as a steamed veggie? yuck) and a few carrots and cauliflower pieces. All were cold. Naturally I complained, although the waitress didn't show up to check on things until we were all near to finished. When I mentioned that my meal had been cold when she served it, she apologized and said she would ask to have it taken off the bill - as any good restaurant would do. However, her manager would not remove it from our bill! Instead she asked if I wanted a dessert, which I did not. She actually spent 15 minutes of our time arguing with the woman in charge, and we ended up getting a whopping 15% of my order only taken off the bill. Needless to say, we will never step foot in the place again.
