| We found Dai Ichi Sushi quite by accident on New Year's Eve 2006-7. We had been down the road at Mandarin where we had made a reservation, and where upon entering we found only a throng of angry customers who had been waiting over an hour for *their* reservations, and staff too beleaguered to know we existed. Frustrated we left Mandarin, thinking we would have to go home and as we drove along sadly, we spotted Dai Ichi Sushi. Slipping inside we found a quiet, delightful, romantic environment and gentle, friendly servers who sat us instantly. We shared one of their sushi sashimi boats which was loaded with the most delectable sushi and sashimi imaginable. Simply mouthwatering selections and big, succulent pieces of fish. Before the meal we were treated to their miso soup, which is one of the best I've tasted and a japanese salad which was fairly ordinary, but certainly at or above par. As a special treat they brought out a sample of their house special, a barbecued mackerel. I am sometimes not a fan of cooked fish, but this was absolutely wonderful! We have since found out that these little samplings of their specials are a regular occurrence and not just a holiday treat. It makes one feel so pampered when they bring these delightful treats to your table! I can't believe they are not constantly packed, though it's true that when we've been back (already, and we're not through January yet!) it's been quite busy. Still, we have never had to contend with a wait, and the service has always been exceptional. The atmosphere is lovely for a quiet dinner for two, or somewhere to bring your friends. For sushi lovers everywhere, this restaurant is simply not to be missed! | ||||||

| Aboslultely adore Aielli and have been returning and taking (and sending) family and friends there since my husband and I discovered it four years ago. Wonderful, delicate yet satisfying food and romantic, relaxing ambience. An extremely satisfying dining experience overall (and it's true, the calamari is exquisite)! | ||||||
