When we asked if we could seat 8 instead of the 6 we reserved for, the hostess snarled, "Well, SHAME on you for not calling!". At one point the waitress loudly called out, "LISTEN UP PEOPLE: I've only got 6 orders written down and there are 8 people, so you're just going to have to give me your orders again!" And the crowning moment -- one guest (who has allergies) sent back a dessert which was served with nuts. After insisting that nuts were listed on the menu (they weren't), the waitress included the charge on the bill. When we asked to speak to the manager, he refused to come to the table. When we therefore refused to pay for the item, he did come out long enough to threaten to sue us for the $4.88. I will say that, if you don't mind abusive service, the food was excellent (if expensive). |
