Used to be the best value in Cochrane, and the best Smitty's we have ever been to. Not any more. Obviously a change in management or ownership since then. Over half an hour wait for beef dip and wife's soup'n sandwich. When beef dip arrived, it was clear it had been sitting out too long. Au Jus was only lukewarm and the French(?) roll was dried out. Precisely four very thin slices of beef, instead of half-inch stack which I expect with a beef dip. All menu prices up about 20% since last visit. May visit once again to see if things have improved--if not, will find the next best value in Cochrane. Owner/manager reply to mr.mrf@telus.net to tell me when you have improved things back to the standard we have learned to expect there. |
