This place charges an arm and a leg for standard Chinese dishes that you can get for about half the price anywhere else. Not only that, the servings are smaller here! This isn't my biggest beef, however. I visited this establishment with my fiancee this past April. The maitre-d was cold and rude from the outset. We ordered scallops with Chinese vegetables and chicken with mango salad. It was good but for the mango salad, which was hard and inedible. I pointed this out to a waiter, who just said, "no, it's fresh" and walked away. I then told another waitress, and she just said "ok" and did nothing. Things went from bad to worse when the manager brought me the bill, 39.33 for two dishes (they charged us for rice, too, one order for each of us). Of course, I wasn't about to give these clowns a tip, so I signed my credit card slip with "0" on the tip line. The manager has the gall to lean over me and say "there's no service charge included in the bill!" (as if to suggest that I should be leaving a tip to him and his snippy staff). I said "I know," and left abruptly. End of story. Maybe other people have had better experiences there (I had heard good things, that's why we went), but I will never return there. |
