One of them seemed utterly put off by the fact that we wanted to order food--what is this place--a restaurant?! He proceeded to ignore us and stand near the counter doing absolutely nothing while the other server ran around serving everyone. As I said, the food is great. The "diced szechuan chicken," (while not diced in any meaningful sense of the word) was delicious. One of the servers was polite and seemed aware that we were being ignored, but her attempts didn't really go far toward the fact that it took 30min just to order our food and then another hour for them to bring it all out. By all, I mean that they brought one dish out 15 minutes from when we ordered, (naturally not the rice that came with the dish) and the rest of it 45 minutes later. Our tea was refilled in a relatively timely manner, however. The place (while not completely filthy) could definately have used a severe once-over--the floor was disgusting, and I was sorry to only have noted its appearance upon leaving. The fire extinguisher perilously perched upon the wall nearest the kitchen had a single note scrawled upon the tag: LOANER. At any rate, if you have a terrific immune system, all night to waste, and don't mind general neglect from your server, eat here. It's tasty. |
