| 1 | Fri Aug 18 14:20:18 2006 | Anonymous | 3.60 | Yesterday, (August 18, 2006) my supervisor and I, (and my supervisor is the Chief Operating Officer for Thompson Rivers University, Open Learning) took a colleague of ours to Manolis for lunch. Starting Monday,she is relocating to our Kamloops office and our in-person visits will be c'est la vie! So this was a "good-bye" lunch for her, in essence. We ordered our dishes and were 3/4 of the way through them, when suddenly Yvette stopped eating, put down her fork and said, "Oh my, look what I've got!" And with her fork she directed us to the black fly in amongst the remains of her Greek Salad. We called our server over and she was quite aghast, I must admit, removed Yvette's plate, apologized and offered to bring her another lunch. Yvette declined. Needless to say - that will be probably the last time we dine @ Manolis and also the last time I will refer others to dine there as well. When the bill came, my dish and my supervisor's dish were on it. I think Colin applied the tip accordingly; personally, I wouldn't have left one. I think at the very least, the owner and/or manager should have come out and apologized to us in-person and I think they should have offered all of us, a free lunch on our next visit - IF - there is a next visit.
