1 | Wed Aug 22 14:18:18 2007 | Anonymous | 8.80 | Uncle Ed's Restaurant is now relocated in new premises, at 118 Ave. at 49 St., in Edmonton, AB. The restaurant, and delicatessen, operate within the same space in a new, attractive, building. This restaurant is, without doubt, the place to come for Ukrainian food in Edmonton. Uncle Ed's serves piping hot Ukrainian fare, with various combination plates to choose from. My favourite selection is potato and cheddar cheese perogies with sour cream, cabbage rolls, nalesniki (crepes filled with cottage cheese), and ham sausage (kubasa). The food quality is excellent, and the prices are extremely reasonable for a tasty, 'home-cooked' meal. Service quality is dependent on how busy the restauarant is, but is generally acceptable. If it's busy, and you have to wait a bit for your food to arrive, you won't regret it. Yum! |
