2 | Sat Apr 8 00:05:43 2006 | Roxyy | 6.00 | No reservations but we got a table. I ordered French Onion soup - was good. My guest ordered scallops - got mussels instead. Mussels were good. No bread delivered to table - everyone else had bread. Within a reasonable time we received salmon entrees - too bad I ordered gnocchi and my guest - rack of lamb. Oops. Waited another 25 minutes for correct entrees. No apology. No bread. Waiter did a good job of averting our gaze. Gnocchi good, lamb excellent. My guest got coffee but I waited around for my decaf cap. Had to ask for refills. Room is way too dark - can't read menu, can't really see the food. Unbearably loud - accoustics could rival a world class concert hall - would it hurt to install something to absorb the sound? Ladies washroom - bright lights gave momentary relief for sore eyes! Ya! but broken fan gave no reprieve from the noise - boohoo. Why are the "ragazzi" so hung up on male waiters??? They could double the job pool at the snap of a finger and most certainly get a better quality employee. But the modest restaurant was full so hey - why should they care? |
