Pearl street bistro is a miniature evocation of sophisticated west coast dining with its mix of bright colors and mirrors with an eclectic seasonal menu that celebrates freshness with impecable culinary art works. This is not your typical bistro at all. Meals here are meant to be studied and savored a bite at a time to enjoy all the flavor subtleties chef shane waite employs. The vegetable accompaniments demonstrate the best of cookstown's organic products and are served in decent portions that will satisfy your mother and canada's food guide. While the plates are formally arranged with even flakes of pure gold as a garnish, the service is friendly and informal with none of the lamentable downtown-toronto attitude of practiced indifference. Finally mississauga has a restaurant where people really know how to prepare and present contemporary food and serve it in a manner that causes the serious diner to wonder why go anywhere else.
