Today , on 18th of July I was there at 8 pm, there was a Chinese person serving me (I did not ask his name) very rude and arrogant . He demonstrated me his disrespect when gave me my order. And was talking to me making a mean face. He also reacted when I opened a newspaper and in hostile manner told me to put it back. I am writing that because it might help to make him change such attitude or the owner could find a better employee.

The manager, chrystal, gave the worst service. She glared at our group when we ordered drinks, did not have any of the "ingredients" for a screw driver, but did have vodka, and did have orange juice. She refused to come outside to our table, and made us wait over 1o minutes to clear up our tab. The food was undercooked and cold.

I worked at boston pizza as a server for over and year and just moved to calgary i have been attending the boston pizza in crowfoot but the service has just been terrible. 3 times now I have been spoken to like im not welcome. I have been always pressured through customer service exspecially at boston pizza when i worked there. Tell them to either get new waitress and hostesses for take out or to improve because its just a joke.

We didn't go there for two years, the place had changed not finished yet, the quality of the food, pretty good, quality of the service, perfect, we tried their poutine, not that great please use curd cheese gone be better, the mozarella is for the pizza! Their fries were really good, the sauce for the poutine too salted, it's the cheese that is doing the job! The curd cheese, one place to find it is at the farmer's market on richard road S.W.

we did not eat there but the hotel was rundown, smelly, there was loud nightclub music from this business until 3 am. there was no toilet paper in the room. ,only one towel. the fire door in the hallway was permanently open. the shower was nonfunctional. the toilet and sink had rust stains. there were two squashed bugs on the bathroom floor.the bedsheets were merely lain on the mattresses. any complaints were met with an indignant smile.

I purchased a 10 piece chicken w.fries and gravy. It cost me $23.00 and it was not worth the money I spent. It was horrible, the chicken was cooked in burnt grease,the taste was awful.I consider 1 piece of white meat in a 10 piece meal a rip off. The BOB is a wonderful way to start off the morning hikes, along with a delicious caffé mocha (oh, yeah!!!)! We enjoyed the Western-style, though it could have used a little jalapeño to spice things up a bit. The pastries should be declared illegal - far too tasty for words. My new love is the Saskatoon Berry! Would that I could find such delicacy in Houston (well, maybe not, as I would probably turn into one!). Thanks. jvb

What has happened to Wendy's this past year? I used to enjoy Wendy's. I can't believe how much the service and cleanliness has gone downhill. And. . . to top it off, the restaurants aren't open half the time. I understand about the labour crunch but how come McDonald's and A&W can keep their restaurants open? Come on! Get with the program.

I went to this restuarant with my husband and two children we ordered within 10 min and it took over an hour for our food to be delivered, the returant overall was clean but the bathrooms looked like the could have been done better but once the food was recieved it was wonderful if you go you have to try the cedar plank salmon

I am sending these comments to you because I don't know how to reach your head office. If you could forward this to them, I would appreciate it greatly, as I realise you are not responsible for the advertising. I don't understand how you can bill yourselves as a family restaurant and use the disgusting advertisement I keep hearing on the radio. Dads are too stupid to know their pants are on backwards.....and really stupid in comparison to the average teacher. It's obvious that you wouldn't go to Dad with anything important because he's too stupid. Don't you think it would make more sense to do advertising that encourages dads and families. Eating at Bill's is always fun. However, there is a young girl that works there sometimes, I think she might be the daughter of one of the owners, she needs an attitude adjustment. She is not there very often (almost never) but what a showoff and rude child. The food is very tasty with huge portions. Most times we use the take out feature which is nice too.

Hi My name is Jesse and I have a little biased review for everyone, Here goes, I have been working at the CMI for almost eight years now and in the passed year and a half since new owners have taken over most of our patrons, you know thats not even right 98% of our guest leave more than happy with their stay. Now our Guests generally say it's our food that keeps them coming back, and as a cook I must say it's nice to work in a kitchen where every meal is home cooked and prepared on site daily and too order. But it's not only the food that is great, ourservice and our staff are incredible, and here to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Plus as an added bonus with our on site Bar "good ol' Boys" we have live entertainment every week, be it kereoke on Thursdays Or Bands on the weekend, there is always something going on at the Coaldale Motor Inn, located between Lethbridge and Taber. Upon entry, the hostess was very pleasant. The ambience was very upscale. Initially, I was quite excited to come here for a celebration. The food quality was a different story. Dislikes: found a product sticker on a cooked bell pepper in my entree. Although the waitress was apologetic and brought another side dish of vegetables for me, the "supervisor" was uninformed on the matter, rude to me, defensive, and showed no PR skills. He was more worried about me calling the health inspector than to deal with a disgruntled patron. He assured me that this sort of thing could easily occur. I was flabbergasted as I thought, “What is their level of cleanliness and quality of food preparation?” He offered me an opportunity to speak to the chef, but I assured him it was not my responsibility. He did not seem apologetic about the whole event. He was reluctant to offer any forms of compensation. As we left, I looked pass the foyer desk and I noticed a male employee giving a female employee on a back rub. I wasless than impressed to see this behavior in a fine dining restaurant. For a $100 meal for two, I would expect a higher level of food quality and services.

We arrived with anticipation as we had visited the town numerous times and swore to try their recommended steaks. We were not greeted for several minutes upon arrival. Even though we had reservations, and the dining room was not full, we had to wait 15 minutes for a table to open up. The waitress with the water pitcher did not even respond to my clear greeting. The appetizer of prawns was pretty good, but the salad was too small to be considered a starter. Finally, our new york steak was gristly and the salmon overcooked. The vegetables were done right but were lukewarm. A tremendous disappointment for a very anticipated event.

beautiful view from every seat in the building. Nice variety on the menu,a little pricey but who isn't in Jasper. Considering you have a front row seat to the rocky mountains you gotta expect to pay. After reading the bonehead who gave the first review, I would assume he didn't get lucky with the lady and probably figured an expensive meal would seal the deal. Stick to the A&W joker!!!!

My husband and I went there the evening of Aug 28/07. The restaurant had a few customers, but was not overly busy. There seemed to be plenty of staff. We had to wait quite awhile to be seated, and then a little while for our waitress to come and take our order. But, the worst part was that we never saw our waitress again! During our 45 minute wait, my husband went twice to the computer where the waitresses place the customers' orders, to at least get our drinks, but could not get their attention. It seems 3 waitresses were arguing with a customer (or the other way around)! Every customer who had ordered alcohol was on their 2nd round during our wait, but it appeared that because we were not consuming alcohol, we were placed on the back burner. We got up and left and the hostess thanked us for coming and we informed her that we never got our drinks, let alone ate, and were never coming back! My recommendation...don't go there!

My friend has Celiac Disease and so cannot have any wheat products. The waitress was helpful in checking with the chef. My friend ordered rice/pork chop/veggies. When she got her meal we realized the rice was cooked in soup base which she cannot have. We asked for substitute of potatoe, which the waitress never brought. We wanted a discount and she tried to tell us we would have had to pay extra for the substitution. We tried to talk to the manager about it and wanted a discount. He was angry, rude and ignorant and wouldn't even listen. We paid the full amount, we didn't even want a discount after he treated us that way. My friend cried! We were so dissappointed in how we were treated. We understand that it is our reponsibility with Celiac Disease to ask the right questions, but this was just an oversight on our part, thinking the rice would be plain. We were not trying to make anyone's life difficult! I still can't believe a manager would treat the public that way. If I owned a restaurant I would have given the meal free!!!! I did leave the waitress a $10.00 tip, I felt sorry for her having to work for a man with that kind of attitude.

Desperate to find a good place to watch a recent boxing bout I found myself in Billy Budds. I was shocked by the amazing atmosphere and great food. The service was excellent. But I wasnt distracted from the fight since Billy Budds had screens perfectly placed for my viewing pleasure. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Edmonton is a pizza kind of town, and this is the best pizza in Edmonton. The only down side is that you have to buy two pizzas. One at two-thirds of the cost would be good when you don't have a small army to feed.

Uncle Ed's Restaurant is now relocated in new premises, at 118 Ave. at 49 St., in Edmonton, AB. The restaurant, and delicatessen, operate within the same space in a new, attractive, building. This restaurant is, without doubt, the place to come for Ukrainian food in Edmonton. Uncle Ed's serves piping hot Ukrainian fare, with various combination plates to choose from. My favourite selection is potato and cheddar cheese perogies with sour cream, cabbage rolls, nalesniki (crepes filled with cottage cheese), and ham sausage (kubasa). The food quality is excellent, and the prices are extremely reasonable for a tasty, 'home-cooked' meal. Service quality is dependent on how busy the restauarant is, but is generally acceptable. If it's busy, and you have to wait a bit for your food to arrive, you won't regret it. Yum!

Well what can I say Issues with Staff Shortages... First 30 minutes to be seated (I counted at least 8 tables open) Once seated ..served right away for drinks...was informed of supersize specials...should have got due to the delay..then again would have most likey used the beach both as the pass out joint. Waitress arrives 20 minutes after drinks served..apologizes about the delay. Order time..sorry non of this non of that...well thank gowd they had pizza dough Pizza make it easy for our group of 4.... 1 hour 10 minutes latter it arrives. This is an ongoing issue with this place as heard from locals

What kind of operation is this??? Excuses fill the air in regards to cold food, poor service and waiting forever for your food! On two separate occasions with two different waitresses we had a horrible experience. BOTH times our orders never made it to the window. One ended up BEHIND the counter and the other did not get submitted until much later because the waitress forgot. BOTH waitresses including the managers & the General Manager all gave lip service. The General Manager said "welcome to the food industry". How sad!! I know this location is privately owned and it makes us wonder how the owners will respond once we get in touch with them?? I certainly hope it is not more lip service. C'mon guys!!!

A fun, bustling greek oriented family restaurant. Quick but not overly courteous service, reliably nice food, excellent value. I am a tour guide and keep coming back because while it usually is not anybody's favourite restaurant in the tour, most of my European guests walk away happy and I have never had a single complaint about L&W (who definitely should change their name to 'Acropolis' or 'Pallas Athena' or something else recognizably Greek).

I went on a Sunday evening during the nearby Folk Festival. It was busy and noisy, so we had a table of seven, and I couldn't hear the other end of the table from the end I was sitting at. The server was talkative, friendly, upbeat. I never had to wait too long to get service at my table when I needed it because I think they have a good server table ratio. They were out of vegetarian chicken, but it's nice that they have so many menu items that you can opt to make vegetarian (they use fake meat - chicken, beef). My chicken souvlaki (with real chicken) was very bland. The fries (skinny, crispy) that came with it were good. The best part was the apple pastry dessert- it might be called apple pie on the menu. It's soooo good, including the maple ice cream that comes with it. It's enough to share between four people if you're going light on dessert.

Have dined at this casual Italian Restaurant on a number of occasions and have found the fare tasty and abundant. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and caring. The ambiance on the patio was comfortable and casually intimate, given the fact that it is on a fairly busy thoroughfare. One recommendation for diners; do arrive after 8:00 PM as this eatery is very busy earlier on Friday evenings. Will be back again.

Visited on July 31, 2007. About 1:00PM--Many previous visits, but we had not been here since late winter. Used to be the best value in Cochrane, and the best Smitty's we have ever been to. Not any more. Obviously a change in management or ownership since then. Over half an hour wait for beef dip and wife's soup'n sandwich. When beef dip arrived, it was clear it had been sitting out too long. Au Jus was only lukewarm and the French(?) roll was dried out. Precisely four very thin slices of beef, instead of half-inch stack which I expect with a beef dip. All menu prices up about 20% since last visit. May visit once again to see if things have improved--if not, will find the next best value in Cochrane. Owner/manager reply to mr.mrf@telus.net to tell me when you have improved things back to the standard we have learned to expect there.

this was the worst restaurant experience of my life! We sat there in the lounge for two hours and did't even have dinner. We among the first diners to arrive around 5 pm, a waitress came over gave us our menus and took our drink order. We got our drink order and were ready to order a starter when she walked away, which turned out to be the trend for the rest of the evening. 30 mins or passes and she comes and askes if we would like another drink we said yes, she didn't come back, 20-30-mins later she comes back again and asks again if we would like to have a drink like she was never even there before, in th middle of asking us this time she big surprise walks away and this time she does not return . My husband had to flag her down to order some hot wings,when when we had finally run out of time (babysitters don't stay all night) we had to find our waitress to get our bill, even though she would not have noticed if we would have just walked out without paying. We were so hungry when we left we ended up getting a burger at rexall, which cost us $50 for crap and then after the concert $60 babysitter bil for a really crappy night....thanks for nothing.

This place is a gem. The Salad rolls fresh and tasty, the noodle bowls a mountain of tongue tasty delights. Ask for the fish sauce warmed and mix it over your noodles for a wonderful flavor boost. The beef has a delicate fragrant taste and flavor and the shrimps are large and juicy. I have been going to this restaurant for years and have always had a great meal for a great price. The staff are friendly and quick to assist you. Lunch crowds are 12-1 so go early or later to miss the rush. This is in my opinion better than Doans or Pagolac by far.

I inquired about the maple teriyaki salmon, which our server (also owner/manager I think) recommended and said was one of their most popular dishes. I had mentioned that I was not a huge fan of teriyaki, but ordered it. What arrived was the very best piece of fish (of any variety) that I have ever eaten anywhere at any time! It was served with a mango/tomato salsa, and the server said that they had improvised on the marinade because of my comment about the teriyaki. My fiance had ordered barbequed ribs, which could not even be handled by a fork, as they were so tender. The portion but Fred Flintstone's brontosaurus ribs to shame! Fabulous food, hospitable and nice decor. I wish there was a Quarry in my town!

We use to go to Barb and Ernie's a couple of times a year. We stopped in Recently (June 3,2007) and it was so hot - (no ac) we decided not to stay this time and go some place with AC. We meet our diner guests outside the restaurant and decided as a group to go elsewhere. Before we left, my 7 year old son needed to go Pee. My wife took him into the restaurant and Ernie refused to let him use the washroom. He said it was only for guests. My wife said, we decided not to dine there this time because it was too hot. He said, its not his problem and refused to let me son go pee. I have dined there about 20 to 30 times over my life but never again. I figure he lost a 1000 bucks of my business over the next 5 years. The guests I was with. One if a former VP of a major oil pipe line, the other a successful well known business man in Edmonton. With one cruel decision to not let a 7 year old go pee, Ernie lost their business as well. Not to mention all they mention it too. I hope One Flush was worth losing a few customers over Ernie. Good riddance

Was in Calgary for weekend from Texas. Had eaten here before and though a chain, food was passable for the value, This time however, on May 26th, not the case. After a 45 minute wait, I ordered the Mama Posoti's Lasagne with the Minnestrone soup. The Bread which came was cold, stale, dried out. The soup was very bland and unflavorful. The Lasagne was "The Worst" of any I have ever had anywhere. Bland, Boring, No hint of a rich sauce normally assoiacted with Italian Red Sauce dishes ? As no fresh parmesan was even offered, I tried some of the "so called" parmesan from the jar ? It was also quite nssty and did not resemble anyting closely to what parmesan cheese is menat to taste like ? After a few bites, I had quite enough of the whole tasteless experience, so ordered my check of 18plus, left a 4 dollar tip (wasn't the servers fault) but I assure you if you are ever in the downtown Calgary area, and in the mood for Italian.... my advice is run (don't walk) away before considering the Old Spaghetti Factory at 222 3 St SW, Calgary, Alberta. Today May 21 2007, Victoria Day Holiday! My husband had traveled to Cochrane to check out the restaurants to book a rehersal dinner for the family. Once in we were asked to seat ourselves, picking a table that had not been cleaned up but prefered it as it was next to a window, the waitress followed. She started to clean the table and then said she would be right back. She came right back with a cloth wiping up the crumbs. Now we sat for I bet a good 6 minutes waiting for a menue. Then she noticed and came back with them, asking if we wanted anything to drink. Coffee was the order and she came back with that several minutes later. Then for the next 25 min. we sat waiting for her to come and take our order. SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW...SO we got up paid for our coffee which came to $7.32 ...WOW-eee for two cups of coffee! NEVER NEVER NEVER will we go back there. Their excuse 'Short Staff'!!!! Sorry won't book our rehersal dinner with you guys! We also watched others come in after we did and they got up sooner then us idiots sitting there waiting for service. Poor management if you ask me,the waitress seemed like she was running around as though the place was on fire, very disorganized & lacking how to prioritize her tasks! We will definitely pass this on to anybody wanting to eat in Cochrane!...sorry but you ruined a perfectly great day for my husband and I!!!

Did Vlasis change owners recently?? I haven't ordered food from vlasis in a while... I remember the food being a little bit better. And there service, or at least there phone manners need improvement! They seem to have a problem altering there food in anyway. Especially there pasta. Don't you dare trt to order a side of Alfredo sauce. It just can't be done. I've actually never had a restaurant tell me they wouldn't do something for me, especially with out a reason let alone a valid one. And three times I asked...the manager...what the vegitables were in the hopes to get something different then brocolli and carrots. Omly to end up with green beans later. They need to learn customer service thats for sure. And maybe add to the menu? The loaded pizza and ceaser salad are to die for. Its too bad its such a hassel to get them.

I have been to countless sushi restaurants across Canada, US, and Europe... and good old Red Deer is the best! I dont know how they do it... but they do. I highly recommend their Rio Pizza (a type of pizza) with cheese, beef, etc. The price is also great (buy a pizza at any size and get the second pizza at 99cents!). Their wait times are reasonable (around 20-30 minutes). Overall, I recommend the restaurant.

this was my third time here ever in my life and i enjoyed it the most this time around. i think they are under new management and have a new head chef because the food was so mouth watering and the service compares to that of the other upscaled restaurants in the city. i was greeted with a friendly smile when i arrived and with the same service when i left. the team there really made me feel welcomed. though the prices were a little higher than rajdoot, it was definately worth it. i believe maurya to be one of the superior indian restaurants in the city in food quality and service.

I have been to this place a dozen times in the last few months. And I finally had to stop atending due to the horrible service. The food and prices at this blue collar Forest Lawn establishment are fair. However, it has the worst servers in Calgary. If you ask for a pint of Canadian. You will then be asked if you want draught or a bottle. I'm not sure about you, but a pint of beer always means draught. Next, the bartender will only ask you "What do you want"? Never, "How are you today, what do you want"? And you may want to hold off eating here depending on who your waitress will be. At this place you have 40 year old waitreses dress like they are 20 years old. I want the rolls on my plate. Not to view them up close in her extra tight t-shirt. I wish they would dress their age and body image. It is a very unfriendly place, the servers think they are working at the Ritz and I never got a friendly hello from one of them in the dozen times I went their. The owner, George is a goood egg and did talk with me. But all, I never got the luxery of him serving me. If you are thinking of going here, don't. The Water Grill Pub is only a short distance away, and there you are treated like famliy.

We have tried this great little restaurant twice, and both times it was delicious. We had the shrimp scampi's to start with a glass of white wine mmmmmmmm. My favorite is the veal, with potato's and veggies. As to the previous reviews, I did not find the food any more greasy and or buttery then any other italian restaurant. As we do eat out at higher end establishments usually 3-4 times a week with business partners, I feel I have a very good range of restaurants to compare from. Actually if it was more buttery and or greasy it would probably be twice as good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great italian food with a family owned touch. Service was excellent both times we ate there. Try it for yourself...

This is a great family run authentic Greek restaurant. You haven't had pizza until you have had theirs. Handmade calamari from Casa Roma is the standard against which I measure all other calamari. They serve a wide selection including numerous authentic Greek dishes. The restaurant is liscensed, but don't order the wine. It is boxed and not great. This restaurant is a real treasure. Small town casual atmosphere and very friendly, and the food is amazing.

My wife reported that the Carrot had a moldy taste, and our waiter confirmed that instead of being kept over ice, the carrots were placed at room temperature. My wife ate very little of her meal, and I also did not finish mine. Our waiter was most congenial, but no offer of compensation was made for your staff's error. This response has totally confounded me! Or, should I say, lack of a response. True, there are plenty of eateries in Edmonton, but we have preferred yours over the others. Is this just the way things are done at Earl's, or was this the exception to the rule? Needless to say, this was a disappointing experience, and I am taking the time to express my concerns to you because our past experiences at your restaurant have been excellent. Had dinner in the M grill(formerly Mamma's)in the Medicine Hat Lodge. I have to say this restaurant is Medicine Hat's best kept secret. Both the food and service are amazing!!

This is an excellent restaurant with hard-working staff who genuinley seem to care about providing a quality meal. This restaurant rips off its customers. It sells set dinners at exorbitant price and then tried to replace the dishes with substitute dishes that are tasteless, sub-quality, e.g. chicken that had already been depleted of taste because previously used to make broth. They used the poor excuse that food was sold out which is not possible because dinner reservation was made a week in advance! Don't eat here or you will go home very unhappy with a bad taste in your mouth.

The food quality is good. The atmosphere and decor is very classy - suits the downtown business sector nicely. The pricing is slightly higher than most Vietnamese restaurants. It does get very busy during the lunch hours and you should not go there if you have a short lunch break. The staff are nice and try to accomodate your needs.

The staff is friendly and courteous. The speed of service is very good even on busy nights during Chinese New Year. The prices are very good compared to the other restaurants and the quality is much better than most. The restaurant is small and not able to hold big weddings but for small/medium dinner parties - great choice! I wish they were a bigger restaurant because I would love to have their food for my upcoming wedding!

This restaurant - La Brezza - and it's proprietor thrive off of location and are in the business of scamming any poor victim who dines there. I can't put into words how terrible the food and wine and service were, and any review you read that says it's good is a review written by the scumbag owner. I've sent out emails to all my friends to warn them and the response has been incredible - ALL BAD. It is very overpriced and you will be lucky not to leave sick. I started off with the worst wine I had ever tasted, our bread was forgotten, no water served, the table was wobbly, and it was cold - all very mediocre at best. The salad was out of a bag, the 'prawns' were large shrimp, and they used CANNED mushrooms and gravy mix to top my paper thin bland D-grade chicken breast. The tomato sauce on my penne was definately tomato sauce out of a can, and I hardly touched the strange cream/egg mouse attempt at dessert. I had to leave practically everything untouched and they did nothing about it even when I questioned the canned mushrooms and bad chicken. I left feeling robbed, and slightly nauseous (i should sue!), and it sure didn't feel Italian. All is not lost if I can spare others from a horrible dining experience. I hope you forward this to others so they don't make the mistake of ever going there. Tamara

The Rickeys on 18h Street SE is the dirtiest restaurant I have ever worked for. The servers and owner touch and bag pre cooked meat with there hands after handling money, being on the computer etc. without wasking there hands or wearing gloves. All deserts are also touched with uncleaned hands. The owner will sometimes touch the food on your plate before sending it out (see if its hot or move a piece falling off into the middle(again hands are dirty). As well as the cooks in the back cooking with no gloves and unwashed hads sometimes after cleaning bathrooms, touching money, phone, computer..... This is the grossest restaurant I have ever been in and I will ever go ack.

On Saturday, February 3, I was one of a party of 10 planning on a supper out at the Olive Garden on 171 St. Edmonton. We had called to see about reservations but were told we could not make one, but to arrive early, the suggestion being 4:30. We were there by 4:20 and waited until close to 6:00 to be seated because by then the restaurant was packed and there already was a crowd waiting at the door. Then we waited and waited some more until a server came. She took our drink orders and then we waited again. When she finally approached our table, she and another server collided and all our drinks crashed to the floor. Accidents happen. By this time it was 6:15 and only then were we told that the kitchen was running 45 minutes behind schedule. We had a theatre show to attend, so we just left. On the way out, the doorway was jam packed with other patrons waiting to be seated. I'm certain the number of people in the restaurant would have been over the number permitted by fire regulations. It was my first visit to an Olive Garden and despite having heard rave reviews of the chain, I doubt I will try to have dinner there again.

In all that time I have only experienced two sub par meals and both were noticed by one of the owners and were replaced. The owners, when I was a regular, always offered complimentary wine at Christmas and birthdays. Elite,no. Great value for your money, yes. Parties over 20 are automatically charged the 15% gratuity. They don't tell you that and they don't give you the breakdown of the price to take with you. All you get it the debit receipt and if you used an air miles a reward receipt. The table was already laid out with 2L pops but you pay heftily per glass for that. Approximately $7.99 per glass, plus tip. That works out to $9.20 per glass. So for 25 people at $9.20 per glass that's $230.00 worth of 2lL pop. I estimate 15 bottles if they were 3 at each table and we had about 5 tables five persons per table.15 into $230.00 = $15.33 per 2L bottle of pop. That's an effective way to not only increase your profit revenue but your waitress can know afford to go to a much finer university.

Men's washroom is normally out of towels: Service, depending on who is on shift can be excellent or downright horrible; In order to gain access to the pub you have to walk through a disgusting mess of cigarette buts and a number of smokers. Day care children have to walk through this mess continiously as go to the day care located next to the Pub. Smokers usually stand immediately outside of the entrance door and then throw their buts on the sidewalk and ground before coming back into the pub. The smoking bylaw should be enforced by having the smoking customers smoke at least 25 ft away from the entrance.

I went to your St.Albert restaurant tonight with 4 other people. I wanted a half hot chicken with white meat. The waiter told me I could get a kid's meal because half sandwiches were only served at noon.I received a small hamburger bun with dark meat. I again asked for white meat. Another waiter told me I wasn't allowed to have a kid's meal. I received a sandwich - white meat on a kaiser bun. The bun was cold and there was no butter or mayo in it... just a dry bun with chunks of white meat. I told the waiter that my meal was awful but he said nothing. We go to the Keg every year we are in town. Grandma and Grandpa watch all the kids while us married couples have a night to ourselves. The Keg has a good ambiance and great food. Like any decent restaurant, you'll need to call ahead if you have a big group. I highly recommend the Keg sized prime rib. We have never been disappointed.

Last Visit: December 2006 Overpriced, trashy decor, absolutely horrendous service. I waited an hour one day for my lunch, only to be told the order never made it to the kitchen. It was an honest mistake, I was not angry, just inconvenienced and I had to run back to work. My server told me not to worry about paying for my soda so I left....hungry. I went back the next day (I had been going on and off for about 3 months as there weren't too many choices around).....I sat down and ordered, and the waitress proceeded to tell me that the girl from the day before was stuck paying for my drink, and they had an issue with that. I was absolutely dumbfounded. I left immediately, attempted to call the owner who met my concerns with complete disinterest. I wouldn't recommend this dump to anyone. I felt like I was in a biker bar given the appearance of the waitresses and their serving skills. There are plenty of better choices in Marda Loop, Original Joes, Kaffa's, Nelly's. Avoid Basil's at all cost.

I went here for the first time this past weekend and didn't enjoy the food at all. First of all it was $17 for faitas, which isn't super expensive if they're good, but these were awful. I order the chicken faitas, which came with about 5 thin slices of chicken on top of under cooked peppers and onions - the amount of chicken couldn't have been a 1/3 of a breast. Also the wraps were cold and of the quality of the no-name brand from the grocery store. Anyways, not pleased about spending, after tip and tax, about 20 bucks for a crap meal. Next time I'll just go to the keg where they cost less, you get more, and the quality is better.

The person who commented is obviously very cheap for starters the food is great and I think very reasonably priced (if you want a good steak you cannot expect to pay 5.00 you get what you pay for) I have tried many different dishes all of them absolutey delicious, the service is amazing all the staff is happy, fun and very polite even on a busy day they still take very good care of you, everything is very clean as well and the desserts are to die for if you want a delicious meal in a great atmosphere go to the outback.

The service was atrocious. When we asked if we could seat 8 instead of the 6 we reserved for, the hostess snarled, "Well, SHAME on you for not calling!". At one point the waitress loudly called out, "LISTEN UP PEOPLE: I've only got 6 orders written down and there are 8 people, so you're just going to have to give me your orders again!" And the crowning moment -- one guest (who has allergies) sent back a dessert which was served with nuts. After insisting that nuts were listed on the menu (they weren't), the waitress included the charge on the bill. When we asked to speak to the manager, he refused to come to the table. When we therefore refused to pay for the item, he did come out long enough to threaten to sue us for the $4.88. I will say that, if you don't mind abusive service, the food was excellent (if expensive).

We were not even finished our soup when our main course arrived and shoved in front of us. The main course was quite good but on the cold side. We finished and were presented with our bill without being asked what we would like for dessert!! I don't know what their hurry was as the resturant was not that busy. We mentioned our concern to our waiter, I think his name was craig, and he seemed considerate of our concern. I don't know if the complaint got back to Paul or not. The service was excellent - as usual! I just recall their food tasting much better when I was younger. The menu is lacking in variety, limiting the diner to choose typical Canadian-Chinese cuisine. My companions and I ordered deep fried won tons, an egg roll, and the dinner for 3 which came with chicken chow mein, beef chop suey, fried rice, sweet&sour spare ribs, and pineapple chicken balls. The food was fairly good, it was just lacking in intense flavour. The chicken balls are not recommended as the sauce is severely lacking in flavour. We had to add sweet and sour sauce and soya sauce in order to make them taste good. The chow mein and chop suey tasted way better as leftovers the next day.

Ok, maybe it's the fact that I was born/raised in Toronto where I was spoiled with "real" Chinese food but the food here was a notch above inedible. My group of 4 ordered the dinner for 4 which consisted of the following : Breaded pineapple chicken Basically an oversweetened Tim Hortons timbit with a small piece of chicken hidden inside. It was too sweet to eat and there was no taste of pineapple. Chicken Chow Mein This was the only dish we could consume without shaking our heads. It was still below average compared to the other Chinese restaurants I've tried. Sweet and sour Pork Spareribs The sauce was so thick and strong, they could have used any type of meat and we wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. 10% meat and 90% cartiledge and bone. Chicken Fried Rice The rice was so dry and flaky that we almost needed a spoon to eat it. Taste of MSG was stronger than that of chicken. Deep Fried Shrimp The shrimps composed around 30% of these round and bulky masses. The rest was starch but in some cases, it was all starch since the shrimp was missing ! It came with no sauce either ! So in summary, you may want to try something else if you're in the city and want some Chinese food. Like drive the extra 2hrs to Calgary and visit China Town.

I was at the mall having Arby's on Saturday July 22nd at about 5:20pm. I place my order with a really nice lady who was very busy. The front lady did not have time to grab my prepared food as she was taking order after order. The back girl who I beleive was a manager refused to go beyond her call of duty which I guess was preparing the food. All she had to do was put two items on my tray and send me off. No she walked by the food 10 times and told the busy girl at the till that the order was up but she would not send the order out. I waited 7 minutes to get my order from the nice busy women. We have eaten at this restaurant numerous times. Last Sunday we ate there and it was a total disaster! We waited a LONG time for our order for a drink to be taken. Our food order took 35 minutes. The food was cold plus not as ordered, plus we requested CLEAN utensils and waited until we then had to asked another server. The tables around us had never been cleaned of dirty dishes. Five tables were complaning, one party of 4 walked out. The restaurant approx. 1/3 full. This was approx. at 4:45 pm we arrived. The first of food order arrived at 5:35. Second food order to replace cold food arrived with greasy hash browns warm eggs, and ice cold pancake again!!!!!!! We were given credit for one meal. That is not the point. My daughter was in from out of town and taking me out for dinner and a visit. A free meal did not replace a pleasant visit over good food in a clean restaurant with good service.

The worst yet. The battered fish was dried out and cold, along with the fries. Could anyone say fish jerky? The salmon that was ordered was burnt and dried out instead of charlbroiled. Along with the european pickerell that was like leather.....that's not all. No drink refills were offered....the garlic parsley potatoes were cold and not cooked fully - partially raw. This was the worst meal ever. In fact it was so bad that out of a party of 5 only 4 people ate. The other went out of the restaurant without eating a single bite of anything, and on the way home stopped at McDonalds....maybe we should of gone there in the first place as we all know that McDonalds is not the best place to take Dad on Father's day, but neither is trying to make him choke to death either....

What can I say, the best dating service in the country, of course only between servers though. We stopped in for supper before a show and what a bad meal. The steak in the steak sandwich was overcooked, could someone say Leather? The grilled fish was more like fish jerky, there was no attention for the drinks, coffee was served once, no refills and no cream brought to the table. I guess its more healthy to drink it black- but only if you prefer to.... Not a good time at all. The prices are too high for what quality and quanity of food you recieve.

The best part of this restaurant which is a chinese take out only establishment, is the cartons it comes in. What tasteless and horrible food. The vegetables are over cooked and soggy. The fried rice is greasy and filled with tons of peas. The soup(wor won ton) which is supposed to have noodles, wonton and vegetables instead has lots of juice, few wonton as in 2 only, a few pieces of overcooked broccoli, carrots and celery and peas.....not worth the money or effort. Better off buying frozen dishes from the supermarket and reheating in microwave.

They are awful. They gave me pork spring rolls two times instead of vegetarian. I ignored the first time, second time I was cautious that I reminded them 4 times at least that I can not eat meat especially pork but they gave me spring rolls with pork in it. When I kindly called them to tell what happened just expected an apology but they accused me lying , me and two other collegues who proofed this by testing their rolls too. And then hang up the phone. Restaurant business is not stealing money. If you agree don`t go there.

I had the worst meal in my entire life at this restaurant. First of all, it was dirty and out dated, filled with broken chairs. It took 1.5 hours for us to get our soggy sandwiches with rotten tomatoes. We had asked for the Manager (named Dave Adamson) but he never showed up. I called to complain later that day, and Dave Adamson said he was too busy in the Kitchen to talk to us. They didnt take care of the bill or anything. My experience at Nathans was not only a waste of money but a waste of time. Do your self a favour and avoid this place!!

Hello all, I played hooky from work today and went for a quick ride south of the city. I stopped in Millet, Alberta which is about 20 km south of Leduc, for a coffee and to do some work on my laptop. I stopped into a small caf called Restless Wheels in Millet as I was riding my motorcycle and thought it was appropriate name for a restaurant. Anyway to make a long story shorter, the owner an incredibly nice man named Abe, has the worlds biggest hamburgers for sale. He has three different sized hamburgers that weigh 9.5, 25, and 100 lbs respectively. I thought it was kind of funny that he called them the Millet Monster. What was really interesting was that if you 10 people together and eat the whole 100 lb Hamburger then he will give you $50,000.00. Thats only 10lbs per person. So if you ever want to try and eat the world's largest hamburger you should come here. I didn't try to eat the hamburger but I did have soupd and sandwhich. The lentil soup was incredible. It was so nice to get awat from the city and enjoy some fine food and peacfulness while working. the bartender at sven ericksens was a snob. she was very inconsiderate towards me the customer and i can not see how she still has a job here. However, by the end of the conversation with the female taking the order I cancelled my order because she was so rude. I first ordered a 12 inch pizza and she rudely responded with "we only carry 13 inches". Alright, I ordered that. Then I ordered a greek salad and she asked me what size, I told her and she responded oh, we don't have greek salads.Her tone was very rude and when we finally completed the order she said it wwould be 45-60 min for delivery. By the time I gave her my credit card number she said it would be 60-90 min. I asked her why she just told me it would be 45-60 min and she replied "the time just changed". I decided I didn't want to give my business to such a rude individual so I cancelled the order and she said " that's fine, bye". I first tried this restaurant back in October of 2005, and since returning to Calgary in January, have eaten there regularly. They offer a good selection of food in addition to the expected steaks and pizzas, there are also pastas, veal, chicken and seafood dishes. Most are at reasonable prices, though the seafood is a fair bit higher than alternatives in the city. An average meal for my partner and myself , including drinks and appetizers, would usually come to somewhere between 40 and 50 dollars. On all occasions, I have found the general level of service to be very good, as well as the quality of the food. A couple of times weve had to return an appetizer thats been slightly undercooked, but each time this was very quickly amended. The restaurants outward appearance is deceptive, except for a paneled back entrance the building is very plain. Inside, however, the furnishings are traditional and seating is fairly spacious. Attached to the restaurant is Andys Sports Lounge, which is separated off, and is the only smoking area. However, despite the above, a major downside exists. The owner is extremely abrupt and ar rimes, offensive and abusive. Several times when eating there he has confronted us, and challenged our reasons for coming, in such a way we felt threatened. Staff too have echoed these sentiments to ourselves when we brought it up with the server. Sadly, this situation came to a head, and we no longer feel able to return to Capris whilst the current Owner remains. Overall, our experience has been good, though due to the situation above, I would only provide a 7/10 score.

If you were a favourite patron, you got better service. When we arrived, the hostess was not even given a chance to see where our table was, when someone else ( the owner's daughter,I think) came and rushed us to a seat right beside the door. As other patrons came in after us, they were asked if they would like a table by the fireplace, as well, would they like to check their coats (we not not offered this option and draped our coats over the chair, not too safe for the waitering staff). Once the service person came to our table, we were asked for our drink orders and menu orders, at the same time......NOT ACCEPTABLE....we wanted to linger over a drink before dinner.....I ordered the halibut and salmon filet, and the first bite of halibut included bones.....GROSS! When my husband had the salad, he was not even offered ground pepper but the other patrons were...... Not only would I not go back to Pasquales, I will not recommend it to anyone I know, friend or foe....

They are now open in the evening! Now, not only do they have the best eggs benedict ever for breakfast and the greatest hamburgers, they also have fantastic steaks! We ordered the feature the evening we were there andhad a great caesar salad, a ribeye steak that you could cut with a fork, roasted potatoes and grilled fresh veg. The accompanying red wine peppercorn sauce with the steak was beyond delicious. We then received a dessert consisting of a dense cake and homemade caramel sauce. It was so good that you wanted to lick the plate! WORTH THE DRIVE!!! The only downside of the restaurant is that they could use some new tables and chairs and maybe tablecloths, but do not let that stop you from eating there!

Being the forgiving type of guy i am, i gave them a second chance a couple weeks ago. This time we managed to be seated but once again a complete disapointment all i can say is next time i go to Boston Pizza's i wil go to country hills blvd. where the stuffed mushroom caps where not just a shrivelled slugish type blob swimming in a pool of salty water. I have been to this BP many times. The food is always consistent and the servers are always good. Remeber that this isn't fast food and you'll do fine. There is an adjoining bar that can leak cigarette fumes but it only affects the 2 or 3 tables closest to the door, we once sat too close and left with a headache. So if you are concerned be sure to request a spot further inside.

Customers must have been coming here for a long time! The staff seem to know about 50% of the customers by their first name. This was my first time there, and when she didn't recognize me, the gal at the cash (her nametag read "Queen Ashley"), asked me if this was my "first time". I think it was partly due to the dazed look on my face after being sped through Fife n' Dekel's cafeteria style serving line and ending up, before I knew it, with a custom designed roast beef and REAL cheddar (slab I would call it) sandwich and large potato salad. Queen Ashley gave me the royal service at the checkout when I answered "Yes, I've been meaning to come here for a long time", informing me that since it was my first time I was entitled to a FREE slice of pie to go with my lunch. I chose apple from the well stocked display case, paid my $9.59 inc tax tab and went to find a table in the sunny dining area. Our starters were excellent (grilled squid and Portuguese mussels in spicy sauce) but the long wait for our main course of grilled chicken (we were warned it would be 45 minutes or so) turned into a big dissapointment. The chicken was overcooked and dried out to the point where my wife actually struggled to get her fork into it! None of our dishes were hot when they arrived which was also very dissapointing. I am not sure if it's just the way Portuguese food is prepared, but our chicken, fries and salad were very oily, so if you're watching your fat intake.... One doesnt expect grilled chicken to be extra oily. The service is friendly but slow, we waited about five minutes to be acknowledged and seated and by the time we were able to catch the servers eye to ask for some sauce to help the chicken go down we were all but done eating our meal. They really could do with more than one server. Part of the problem seems to be that everyone wants an explanation of what the dishes are, which is fair enough, but then get some more help. We were there on a not so busy Monday evening so it must be hell when it's busy. The prices are very reasonable and the quantity of food you get for it is good. We were quite excited at the prospect of finding a Portuguese restaurant in Calgary as we have experienced the cuisine in other parts of the world so this experience was certainly not what we had hoped for. Given that it is one of very few places in Calgary that actually grills their squid rather than fries, or deep fries it, I may be tempted to go back some day, but not too soon.

would never recommended this resturant to anyone, there were bones in the chicken enchallatas which were pointed out to the waiter to no response and watch for the refills of the chip and salsa that is on the table when you arrive it is $5 a basket which we were never told. When asked to speak to the manager/owner we were told that he was to busy to come to our table. The food was average, the service horridous and all 8 people at our table agreed they would never go back

My wife and I came to Fort McMurray to visit her family. We decided to go to Mitchell's Cafe because we were told it is cozy and quaint. Once we were seated, a very young waitress came to the table to take our order. Unfortunately, our three year old daughter was not in a particularly happy mood. The waitress thought she could cheer her up by tickling our daughter's face with her braids and nearly exposing her chest to all. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't feel this behavior was very professional or hygenic. We would not go back unless management made some considerable staff changes. Thanks for the peep show!! The food was terrific.

We went for dinner today at Barb and Ernies, and had reserved a table for 6 . Although the restaurant was empty the waitress gave us a table where we had no room whatsoever. Service was not even average, the waitress did not show any enthusiasm at all, and did not ask us once if we liked the food, and wouldn't tell us what kind of beer they had although we asked her a couple times. Most of us ordered different kinds of Schnitzel and I have to say I never had a Schnitzel that bad in my whole life. The meat was so dry that you could barely eat it, there was no cheese at all in the Cordon Bleu, it was covered in a tasteless sauce (I'm sorry to say that there shouldn't be any sauce on Wiener schnitzel and Cordon Bleu), vegetables were cold and overall the food had not much taste to it. The worst of all was the dessert, which must have sit in the kitchen all day before it was served. We told the waitress that we were unhappy with our dining experience but she didn't seem to care. Bathrooms definitively need a cleanup - not a pleasant experience either. In the past my experience was much better - I came for breakfast a couple times - but after today I'm sorry to say that I won't come back.

First, when a person drives through a small town and trys a restuarant you usually get a typical experience. I traveled through Millet, AB. a small community of about 2000 people. I came across a small Cafe run by a husband and wife team, Abe and Marie Amer. The Cafe is very small, but the hospitality and atmosphere was great! Charming people, and when the meal came I was blown away. I arrived on a Tuesday where they offered 'all you can eat' steak. Well, first the steak was about 16 ounces on the plate. So it truly was all I could eat! The meal consisted of vegetables, baked potato, salad with all the trimmings. The meat, Alberta Beef, was very tender and extremely tasty. When I went to pay, I was again impressed. The meal came to $9.49 (Canadain). I would highly recommend you stop in Millet and eat at the Restless Wheels Cafe!

The Steak Pit is absolutely worth taking the drive out of Calgary to be able to go and savour the flavours. People can either Broil their Own steak or choose from a broad variety of items. One of the reasons that this restaurant has such a wonderful rustic feel to it, was that the owner Gordon Shoults built the restaurant by hand about 40 some odd years ago. It started out as a hamburger stand, and grew into a wonderful world class restaurant... Their secret salad dressing is to die for. I dont know if they sell it off site, but boy they should! Again, I give this restaurant a full thumbs up. I have visited it for many of the 40 years, watched it grow and for as long as it is there, I will visit it again and again. Thanks!

Arrived at the Grand Hostel (a converted 100 year old hotel) for a two night gig at the bar. Tromped up and down the near ghost town streets marveling at the continuity of the archetitural style and age of the buildings. Found Chris and Irvin's. It was about 6:30 pm and it was busy. I remarked to my companion that either the food is good, or this is the only kitchen in town. I was right on both counts. Food was good, hot, respectable cafe fare. We had three meals there during our stay and were not disappointed. I took lots and lots of pictures of the buildings. The town would make an excellent location to film a '50s era movie. Coleman and it's people stole a piece of my heart.

It can all be summed up quite easily: Never, ever, ever, ever... eat at Smitty's in Drumheller, Alberta! Our experience was the most disgusting I've ever had in any restaurant. Now I have eaten in restaurants all over the world, from the Sheraton in Sweden to a make-shift table in an alley in Costa Rica. Whatever I deemed inhumane in the past, has now been replaced with my experience at the Drumheller Smitty's. My intuition was right upon entering the front doors. However, we were so hungry, that we pushed ourselves in, only out of hungry desperation. The waitress who failed to greet us, looked like she just got caught humping the cook. We placed an order and I went to the bathroom, only to find a rather large group of flies enjoying a bathroom romp. Crap IN the toilets, crap ON the toilets, pee stuck to the floor. Was a fly's dream vacation. I was too afraid to pee, so i decided to hold it. No soap to wash my hands with in the women's room. Only one tap worked. Coming back to the table, I happened to look over by the salt shaker, and to my disbelief, glistening in the sun, was a PUBIC HAIR ON THE TABLE. We left. But not without the teenage waitress getting an earful and an eyeful when i forced her to identify the offending hair and which body part it would come from.

Best damn hamburger you can buy in this city. Always top notch with a fresh (not soggy) bun and great fries. They create it right in front of you so you know what you are getting, not what they want to give you. Service is great and the staff are always there to serve you. The noon time line-up can be backed up out the door sometimes, but that just reflects the quality of the product they serve.

The 8.99 lunch buffet on Saturday was small but good. A good variety of food - the bbq pork stirfry was tasty. We also enjoyed the dry ribs and the chop suey. The soup was a light broth with bok choy. A nice change from the usual wonton soup served at buffets. There was also a small salad bar included with the buffet, which contained a nice marinated vegetable dish as well as the usual green salad. The spices were good and the food was fresh. There was no aftertaste as is the case sometimes with buffets. Would recommend it.

Excellent food at this location. The moussaka is wonderful, the pizzas are delicious and the salads, lamb and shrimp are great. The sad part about it is, when you look around at the dirty counters where they hold the glasses, and you hear the talk in town about the cleanliness of the kitchen, it is hard to eat there. A family-operated restaurant, their is a table at the back that the family sits at and basically watches you. The only time they seem to not see you is when you are trying to get their attention. I try not to be too harsh, because the food is really very good - if you just try to close your eyes and pretend that you are sitting in someone's home and wouldn't care about what's going on in the kitchen or the ambience, then it will be a very good experience. However, if you are sensitive to any of the things mentioned above, or like your servers to dress appropriately for serving food, you may not be able to get past it.

Clealiness of the kitchen and food do not have a good reputation. Unfortunately, the restaurant receives a lot of traffic because of their location and the name. Undeservedly so.

If you have any problems with smoke-filled restaurants, do not go here! There is a small non smoking area but it is in the back and the smoke still fills the entire restaurant. They would do well to make it completely non-smoking or have the smoking area in an enclosure. Once you find your way past the smoke haze to your seat, you will note a toy train track that is suspended from the ceiling. It is a good diversion for the little ones, a bit of a novelty. Food-wise, it is primarily the breakfasts that the place is known for. The flapjacks and waffles are great, as is their omelettes. For lunch, the burgers and fries are very good. I recommend the chicken teriyaki burger, easy on the sauce. Their salads are not worth the effort, and their is very limited items if you choose to eat "healthy". Service is often slow and the servers crabby. Perhaps more staff are needed in the busy summer season.

Excellent steaks and pizza. If you are looking for a meal that is comforting, this is it. The French Onion Soup is very good, as is their salads. Their appetizers are mainly too deep- fried or odd (the mushroom caps were not stuffed, the filling just put over top of all of it and cheese on top of that). Service is not always consistent, sometimes very slow even when the restaurant is not busy. It really depends on the server you receive. Quite expensive given the size of the town and the portions. The ambience is one of the best in town, comfortable booths and tables.

Excellent Szcechuan, Peking and Thai food. The service is pleasant. There is a buffet for lunch thoughout the week which is consistent and has a good variety. The menu items are varied. I highly recommend the Tom Yum Goong soup which is the best I have ever tried - Vancouver, Richmond and Coquitlam included. The Pau Pia (Thai crispy spring rolls) are amazing - perfectly crispy and light outside, with very tasty filling. Also good to try are the satay, ginger beef, garlic chicken and panang kai. Spiceness can be chosen for your dishes, ranging from mild/medium/hot. The only recommendation I would make is to have combination meals for one person, and to include brown rice on the menu. It is a small area, no privacy whatsoever - but the food makes up for it.

The food, and the choices of it at this resturant were delecatable. There was only a couple problems. The cook was always yelling at the staff, making it a very negitive place, and the prices were outrageous, for a caesar salad they wanted 15 dollars, and they put practicaly nothing in it. There was the lettuce, which was still soaking wet, and a very runny sauce. The service and the waitresses were very nice. so over all, its a very well put together place. Eat there if your rich, and dont eat the salads. lol
